Personal Statement
My name is Jared Yongyuth. I am a student athlete of Monta Vista High School, a blue ribbon school that is top rated in California. I am a swimmer at Santa Clara Swim Club, one of the fastest clubs in the nation. I swim have been on the Monta Vista Varsity team since freshman year and swam the 500 Free and 200 IM at CCS Championships in freshman year and sophomore year.
My goal in swimming has always been to improve myself. I am not satisfied with any results unless I know I have tried my best to achieve it, and it drives me to become the best swimmer I can possibly be. In swim practices, I am a positive worker who races with other teammates in practice. My biggest strength in swimming is my discipline to work hard in swim practices and in dry-land.
On top of swimming, I strive to be the best student I can be as well. I maintained a GPA of 3.95 during sophomore and freshman year while taking difficult, accelerated classes. I look to continue taking challenging classes in order to learn as well as become the best student-athlete I possibly can.
