My goals for swimming in college are to continually work hard to improve my strokes and times. Listen and learn from my coaches on how best to continually improve in the pool. I want to be a significant contributor to the swim team in regards to competing, putting in the work and being an example to follow. I decided in March of 2016 to put all my efforts into swimming and drop water polo as my year round sport. I committed this past season, my sophomore season, in highschool to put that commitment into play. It is not required to swim twice a day for practice. I knew I had to put in the work to be as successful as possible come league finals and sections. I attended as many double days as possible through the season. As for academics, I am committed to raising my GPA by staying disciplined in regards to the details required for homework and studying for tests. My dad has told me on several occasions that it takes great discipline to be on an athletic team in college and still do well academically as he played water polo and swam in Jr. College.
