Akili Allen '17 Recruiting Profile

I am a student-athlete who is looking for an opportunity to continue growing as a collegiate swimmer and as a person. My goal is to obtain my degree, which will put me in a position of advantage for a career in the United States Coast Guard, as a rescue diver/swimmer. In the pool, I plan to be a dynamic swimmer, a leader and a positive influence on my team. As I continue to grow both physically and mentally throughout my college swimming career, I will strive to be an asset to the team, in individual and relay events. I have tremendous upside as my parents were both Division I collegiate-athletes. I know that an opportunity is waiting for me at the collegiate level somewhere and look forward to the challenge. My constant drive to succeed and my winning attitude will follow me into the collegiate ranks. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with dignity and respect in and out of the pool, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my family, my coaches, my team and my college.
