My number one collegiate goal is to receive a degree from a school with strong academics. I've worked very hard and earned a cumulative 4.4 GPA, and I want a college that will challenge me academically. I think I could really contribute a lot to a college swim team because I work hard, get along with others, and stay out of trouble. On top of this, I've always been a natural leader, evidenced by my election to captaincy in my Junior year. I have played a lot of sports over the years, but I have really focused on swimming in the last couple of months, and I am very happy with the results. I know that I can continue to improve in college. I have always heard what a great experience College swimming is and I would really like to be part of a team.
I have coached my Parish swim team for several years and I love seeing the kids improve. It is especially rewarding for me because most of my swimmers are Latino like me, and I would like to see Latinos better represented in swimming.
The kids I coach would be really excited to see me swim in college.
