Personal Statement
Hey!
My name is Aditya Jangid, I am from Santa Clara, California. I've been swimming for 12 years now onto my 13th at Santa Clara Swim Club as a butterflyer. I wish to swim at a college level for many reasons but primarily because I love competing. I thoroughly enjoy putting myself out there and racing to the best of my ability. I believe I have come this far with my competitive drive and spirit. I am always looking to improve and reach for perfection because that's what this sport is about; strive. I've been competing competitively for about 10 years now and ive learned a lot about hard work and determination. I like to live by a saying; "no deposit, no return." You have to be willing to put in the work in order to get the results you want. That is what im about. I am a hard worker and hungry for success.
I am looking for a college that will help me accelerate my career as a swimmer as well as an active student-athlete. Studies and academia are at the top because I am looking for a school that will help me mature and develop as well as encourage me to build on my athletics. I aspire to become a great swimmer and my lifelong goal is to make it to the National level. Regardless of its caliber, I believe with hard work and constant commitment anything is possible and I am looking for a college that can provide me these things and help me reach my goal. Swimming has affected my life positively in every single way because it has shaped me into the individual I am today. I wish to continue being in the pool, being on a team, competing, winning, and having fun at a top tier simply because its my life. Its what I do! Thank You!
