I am planning on majoring in Business with an emphasis in Finance, and am looking for a high academic rated school where I also can satisfy my passion for swimming. Although I have some preferences for where I want to go, I am content to go to any school in any part of the country that fits my criteria.
I have trained with the Colorado Stars for ten years, the past three years with Todd Schmitz, a 2012 Women’s Olympic Coach. Growing up, I played nearly every sport. I finally decided to focus on swimming when I started high school. To help improve my times, I have been training with Steadman Hawkins, a world renowned sports medicine and performance facility for strength, power, and stability outside of the water. I also work with a sports nutritionist, who has helped me eat correctly to help with recovery and energy. I work extremely hard in practice and am a leader on the team. My goal is to score at the NCAA meets and help my team win many championships.
Academics are very important to me. I am a leader in school. I am involved in many clubs at my school: the Investment Club, National Honors Society, and Diversity Action Group.
Outside of school, I enjoy working in the community. I volunteer with one of my swim coaches to help teach young kids how to swim faster. I have worked at elderly care centers, infant care centers, and fundraising events.
Although I am not very active in the tribe, I am ¼ Native American in the Maliseet tribe in Canada.
I look forward to hearing from schools that will both be a match for me, as well as a match for them.
