Gustavo Cesar '17 Recruiting Profile

Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil,  I learned from my parents and mentors that everything in life that comes easy,  goes away in the same way. I have for life thought that hard work pays off and that without hard work you will never be successful. The opportunity to come to the U.S came a year ago and since June of 2015. As member of the Junior class I have been attending to The Bolles School  which is incredible in helping me with the process of being a better person,  student, and athlete.  As a way to push myself in swimming and in school, I always have in mind what my grandfather told me when I was a kid,  to "Be your future", as he told me to never give up on my dreams, dream big and be strong in hard times. I am always very thankful for all my family for being able to make part of my dream come true. From now, it has being 7 months since I started as a student/athlete at Bolles and day by day I learn from my mentors, in swimming, the head coach Jon Sakovich, and also through living in the dorms and having the chance to get to know many inspirational teachers and dorm-parents,  who are always helping me find the right path to my goals. I enjoy playing outside, and going to the Jacksonville Beach on weekends. I'm always trying to improve myself and become helpful person. My friends and family would describe me as a helpful, self-less, and joyful person.
