Ren Kuwaye-Tamawaha '14 Recruiting Profile

Aloha ! I'm Ren and I am from the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii. I started swimming from a very young age because where I live I am surrounded by water and didn't want to drown. I am a very simple, low key kind of guy who enjoy the company of others and making them laugh too. My personality fools alot of people to thinkg that i am not very intelligent BUT I strive to attain the highest grades possible in school and enjoy learning new things. I guess you could say that I am internally oompetitive to try hard and be the best that i can be both in sports and school. I am a short stubby Asian boy at 5'7" and 150lbs. My most outstanding accomplishment so far in swimming has been winning our state age group championships in 400im, 200 breaststroke, 800free. I can offer to being a good example to my team in and out of the water to always train my hardest at every practice and to swim like every set is a race. My goal is to attend a college on the west coast with a Division 1 swimming team because I feel that it will utilize both my swimming and academic talent and be close to home too :) BUT if there is an opportunity thats not within my parameters off course i will consider it since it will be to my best interest and future. As a freshman in high school at this time I am still exploring different fields. I do like the opportinities that the business academy provides. I am also considering sports physiology.
