Matthew Chastain '16 Recruiting Profile

I am a very serious and dedicated student athlete. Swimming is my passion and I love every minute I'm in the water. My best events are the 100 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke. I believe my best years of swimming are coming soon because of my physical development. Not only am I a dedicated swimmer, but I am a hardworking student. On many occasions my coach has asked me to coach some of the younger or slower swimmers. I am also trying to further develop my swim career by becoming a lifeguard and swim instructor. My goal is to become an elite college swimmer and to use my expertise in swimming to further enhance and promote the sport.

I want to attend a great college and become an essential link in their team not only with my physical times, but with my hardworking spirit and my positive attitude.
