Personal Statement
I have been swimming since I was eight-years-old and quickly fell in love with the sport. I found out that I have a lot of talent in butterfly and that I thrive in competition. Swimming has become a big part of my life. I hope to continue it as long as I can.
I always look for opportunities to challenge myself. In swimming, I like being in a competitive environment. I like pushing myself and striving to be the best. I like having the chance to learn from experienced swimmers and coaches. I attended a challenging middle school and it prepared me much more for high school than many of my friends who did not. They constantly expected us to exceed under pressure. I learned how to manage my time and balance a high work load. I want the same challenges and opportunities in college in both swimming and classes.
