In college, I have many goals and aspirations. What makes me not only a good candidate but a great one is I have a great work ethic. I am always willing and very determined to work hard and make myself into a better athlete. This is because of my diversity as an athlete of football and swimming. I'm constantly working hard and practicing, and it's grown on me to do that in the classroom as well as in my athletics. I differ from a lot of other potential college athletes. Most swimming recruits only swim. In addition to swimming, I play a sport that most swimming recruits don't play, football. I've been playing football my whole life, and I really enjoy it. And, I've been swimming since the 5th grade, and it's a sport I also really enjoy. I know I am a stronger, more conditioned and more intelligent athlete due to being involved in more than one sport. My character is one that most coaches like. I refuse to give up, I am easily coachable and I always want to learn how to get better. I may get frustrated, but when I make these mistakes, I don't make them again. My athletics are really important to me and I believe that my participation in athletics has helped me succeed in my life so far. Honestly, I am an average student that receives A's and B's on my report card and I know that one can't get anywhere in life if the academic portion isn't there. The classroom is a place that I enjoy and I am always willing to learn something new. I have goals in athletics, but most importantly I look forward to earning my degree, pursuing a career and making a difference after college.
