I began swimming in summer recreation leagues when I was seven and made the jump to swimming competitively year round when I entered high school. Since that time, I have aspired to swim at the collegiate level. I know that swimming in college will be both challenging and rewarding at the same time and I know I am up for it.
I am a very competitive swimmer and am proud to have helped led my team to the Kansas State Championship (5A). With a dedicated work ethic and the ability to be trained, I am confident I can continue to refine my technique and times to be even more competitive in my last two years of highs school and succeed at the collegiate level. Although just finishing my sophomore year, I am had the opportunity to become a seasoned leader, both on the swim team and in other areas of my life.
In the classroom, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA despite taking honors level classes. I am an Eagle Candidate in Boy Scouts and was chosen to represent my high school at the Hugh Obrien Youth Leadership Conference (HOBY). I have received the U.S. Congressional Medal for Service and am active in youth leadership at my church.
My goal is to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and in the pool. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I strive to become a leader on campus and in the pool while preparing myself for the next chapter of my life after college.
