Eli Stucky '21 Recruiting Profile

I did not start swimming until 2018, my sophomore year in high school.  I had never swam competitively prior to this.  I was privileged to have a high school coach who believed in me and pushed me to be better.  He rewarded me with a position on his State Team in 2019 and 2020 and hopefully again in 2021.  I joined Wichita Swim Club in April 2020 just as the Covid pandemic shutdown occurred.  Needless to say, I have not had as much time in the water as I had hoped but I have been lucky to be able to swim at all.  Wichita Swim Club has gone above and beyond to get their swimmers back in the water following Covid guidelines.  Joining Wichita Swim Club has also given me the opportunity to have a circle of friends I never expected, but am forever thankful.

I am looking forward to my senior year of swimming.  I have set goals for myself and my team, that I hope to achieve.  I want to reward my high school coach by showing him how his coaching, and encouragement to join a swim club have paid off.  I am also looking forward to college both academically and athletically.  I believe my academic college experience would be enriched if swimming could be a part of it.  I know I have a huge learning curve ahead of me, with swimming, but I am very coachable and thrive being part of a team!
