I didn't have the ability of swimming in during the eight and under years like most kids who swim, but after Katrina I was able to start my swimming career when I nine. I swam on a small team and learned the value of being a part of a team and supporting each other. I never missed any high school meets, and I have swam through shoulder injuries, leg injuries, and sickness. I know what it means to be part of a relay, and have the pressure of the team and your three other teammates on your shoulders. I aspire to be apart of a collegiate team, and hope to have the success that I have had in high school swimming, and be a part of a united group.
