2016 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I've loved swimming for my club team for eight years, but nothing beats the excitement of competing at high school states. The extra energy and enthusiasm that school spirit adds is truly motivating. My high school has won the Louisiana Division I High School Championships for the last three years, and I hope to help them do it again next year. Competing for my high school has meant a lot to me. The encouragement, motivation and sense of belonging that you get from school athletics is something I would love to experience in college as well.
I have a strong work ethic both in and out of the pool. I take honors and AP courses as well as being active in Student Council, National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta. I am currently serving as the District III president for the Louisiana Association of Student Councils. I'm hoping to combine my love for swimming with my strong academics. I believe these things make me a strong student athlete who could be a real asset to your program
