Personal Statement

I started swimming competitively in the fall of 2012, and I have been in love with the sport ever since. I always aspired to take my training to the next level. Even in the beginning of my career I was a hard worker and was very dedicated. My club coach saw this and worked with me to help me achieve my potential. I never skip practice for superfluous reasons, I bring a positive attitude to the training atmosphere, I respect my coach's authority and my teammates, and I always try my best to better myself and hold my teammates accountable for their training. I work my heart out in every practice and my strong work ethic make me an essential component to a successful team workout. On top of all of this, I have taken every available honors and Advanced Placement classes available to take since I started high school. I aspire to take my studies and training to the college level, and I know I have the mettle to handle it.
