My love for swimming started at a very young age and it has continued every since. I started swimming competitively with Bulldog Aquatics the beginning of my 7 th grade school year. Last year I led my high school swim team to their first State Championship by winning both the 100 yd and 200 yd freestyle as well as anchoring the 4 X 100 yd relay. I am hopeful that I will swim successfully during the remainder of my high school tenure.
Although academics will be the driving force for my college experience, I am looking forward to swimming competitively at the college level. My academic performance during the last 2 years of high school have proven that I am capable of balancing both academics and athletics.
After the past few years of club swimming, I have grown close to my teammates and coaches and I look forward to developing the same type relationships in college.
Until now I have never set time goals for myself. I have approached both training and racing with 110 percent and thus far I have been happy with my results. Hopefully, I will be able to continue to progress by working on strength, power, and endurance.
