Personal Statement

Why do I think I am qualified to swim for your swim team in college? Ever since 2008, swimming for college has been a major vision in my long term goals. I have had the opportunity to meet many famous Olympians at BREAKOUT! stroke clinics, Josh Davis and Jason Lezak to name two. My motivation started there at age 8, shaking those Olympian’s hands. This experience motivated me to be the best athlete and human that I can be and to never limit my hopes and dreams. I have always been on the “go” with swim meets, teaching me to cope with all that I take on and still excel in all parts of my life. My swim team has molded me into the hard working and dedicated young adult I am today. I do not accept defeat easily, I love a good race, and I conquer many of them.  My club swim team competes in a rec. league and as a US team that swims year round. I practice 5 times a week, 2 hours each day and my swim coaches have pushed me to be one of the fastest swimmers in my age group.

I know I would be a great fit to swim at your college because I have mastered time management and I am always hungry for a win! I am a born leader on my club swim team and I always take charge of the workouts I am given as well as being a good role model for the younger swimmers. High school clubs and events that I have participated in are: officer in Student Council, HOBY leadership conference, and the Massachusetts State Police Student Trooper Program. These opportunities have all taught me to grow into a strong independent leader and to take on challenges. High school and swimming are my two main priorities in my life that I take very seriously and I would be psyched to take on the challenge of swimming at the collegiate level.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
