I am almost 18 years old, and have been swimming for around 13 years of my life. I have so much more potential in me for swimming and there is nowhere but up from here (although this phrase is normally said when things are at there worst, I decided to implement it anyway since it fits the situation). I will fit right in with other teammates even though I have trouble talking and interacting with people I just met. This anxiety goes away once I get to know people more which should not be a problem considering that I am joining a swim team that will have social interaction for much of the time. I still have some improving to do on my stroke, but after reading Conquer the Pool I am ready to tackle the pool mentally as well as physically. My academics are pretty above average with an SAT score of 1300 and A's in all my classes except one (that one being Algebra 2 Honors where I had as little as 15 minutes to finish a quiz with 8 questions). I will have completed 5 AP courses by the end of my high school career; all of which ended in a 4 on the AP Exam. Sorry for such a long winded paragraph, I will let this sentence be the last that you read.
