My name is Isaac Dierker and I am in the Class of 2024 at Park Hill South. My love of swimming started when I joined a summer swim team at the age of nine. I had been known as a smart kid, but swimming gave me confidence in my physical ability, and I loved that feeling. I started year-round swimming after that summer and have been doing that ever since, attending as many practices as I can while also balancing school and extracurricular activities. I also enjoy the camaraderie with my teammates, and that is even more prevalent during high school swim.
Swimming is a big part of my life and so are academics. School is always a priority for me, and I have maintained a 4.0+ GPA in high school. I have never truly been challenged academically, but that might change my junior year because seven out of my eight classes are AP. I am looking forward to this challenge, because I am a hard worker, I am dedicated, and I am confident that I can continue to excel in both swimming and my education.
I am also confident that I can balance swimming and academics in college and am eager to find a college that will help me grow as an athlete, as a teammate, and academically.
