William Archie '14 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6 foot 2 inch breaststoker and mid-distance freestyler from Kinston, NC. I have swum on Arendell Parrott Academy's varsity swim team since seventh grade. I earned 1st Team All Conference NCISAA EPIC my freshman and sophomore seasons. In November of my eighth grade year, I began swimming year-round for the Greenvile Gators Swim Club, while still playing football and later lacrosse. In my freshman year I dropped lacrosse in favor of more pool time and in my sophomore year, instead of playing varsity football, I decided to dedicate all of my non-academic time to year round swimming. My goal is to make it to Senior States and to continue to maintain an unweighted 4.0 GPA. I hope to attend a highly academically competitive school that will help prepare me for medical school. While academics are the first priority, my goal is to be able to compete in swimming at the college level, regardless of division. Highly academically competitive, good preperation for medical school, and a varsity swim program in which I can compete are my only criteria in choosing a school.
