Personal Statement

At this point in my life I am on the fence about whether or not to swim in college. I believe that managing sports and schoolwork in college will be difficult; however, if the right institution presents itself, then I might reconsider my decision. I think a Division I school would put too much emphasis on the athletic aspect, not the academic aspect. The perfect fit for me would be a college which is competitive in swimming and in the classroom. My coaches and I agree that it would be a waste to NOT swim in college.

Sunday I will be swimming event 88, men's open 200 yard butterfly, event 90, men's open 50 yard freestyle, and event 94, men's open 200 yard freestyle.
