Personal Statement
As a senior all of us athletes are scrambling for what seems to be the nest step in our athletic career. Me as a very competitive swimmer I thrive for a challenge, which in this case is finding the right college team and program. One of my goals, well at least one of the biggest goals for one is being able to swim for college, having that opportunity would show me that all the sweat, tears, and non stop hard work was worth it. I aspire to be one of the greatest swimmers in the country, I know thats such an underdog statement but in all honestly its something I'd work for to achieve. When i train to achieve something, I train picturing going up against myself because in the end I am my only obstacle, I train until my body is drenched in sweat, until my body cant do one push up more and even then i still try to do more. I'm Consistent with times and training routines, determined to achieve, and willing to give it my all. I don't like to compare myself to others but in the world of athletics there is always going to be comparison between athletes. What makes me different from other recruits in character is the motivation i can bring to my team when either struggling or succeeded in a certain scenario, including my persistency and use of strategic strategy when competing. In athletics I can say I'm different because of my training ethic and strategy, either it being some days I'd do a intensity workout on one part of my body for 3 hours or another day I'd do some yoga to relieve stress in the muscles. Play smart to win smart. Finally with academics, I'm no Einstein but I'm not to far from it. I was always ahead academically throughout my middle school and high school, It wasn't really something that i worked for just something i was gifted with. Some say its a gift I say its a curse.
