Personal Statement
I first started competitive swimming at 6 years old in upstate NY. My family moved to Australia when I was 8. My love for the sport flourished and I spent the next seven years training and competing up to a National level. I worked exceptionally hard in the pool and this was recognised by my coaches and peers. I was nominated for many awards and captained a number of Teams. I returned to the US in December 2014.
I am passionate about training and racing and have excelled under numerous coaches, often being told that I am both coachable and humble. I am a team player, and have inspired and mentored many younger swimmers. I always strive to be the best I can be, both in and out of the pool. My goal is to swim at College, contribute to the Program, make Top 16 at NCAA Champs and compete at Olympic a Trials in 2020.
In the classroom, I work incredibly hard. I hold a 4.0 GPA and my long-term goal, after my undergraduate Degree, is to study medicine and improve the lives of others while giving back to the community.
