Personal Statement
Hello my name is Hunter Romanowski and my dreams are becoming an All American, Olympian and able to swim competitively on a college level. I know these goals are high but, I believe I can achieve them because of so many factors I contain. One factor is I started swimming my freshman year. Also when it comes to meets, I consistently drop my times, whether it’s a tenth of a second or a couple seconds. I am very competitive; I want to be the best at everything I do. I never cut corners no matter how tired I am. Anyone could see that I am competitive because even if I’m in practice, I always race the person in the lane next to me. Giving up is never an option to me, if I get knocked down, you will defiantly see me standing up the next second. I work my hardest in the classroom, in the pool and the gym. I always take everything that my coaches say seriously, even if it’s a difficult task. I live by the motto “hard work pays off”; this has never let me down.
In the classroom, I never slack off. I willingly help my classmates whenever they need it. I strive for the best possible grade. I stay after school for extra help if I need it, study every night and do any extra credit even if I do not need it. I am never satisfied with myself when it comes to grades or my swimming times. If I have an “A”, I won’t be happy until I have an “A+’. If I do a 24 second 50, I won’t be happy until I do a 23. I have always had this mindset and I don’t plan on changing.
