2014 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I started competitive swimming when I was 10 and I did not place so well at my first meet. I trained as hard as I could every day after that meet so that I could place higher. And it worked. I placed third the following meet and I will never forget that feeling of accomplishment. I knew, from that moment on, that swimming was something I loved very much because it is full of challenges that I am willing to take head on. Now, my goal in collegiate swimming is to rank amongst the top swimmers in the sport and I know I will enjoy every single part of the journey to the top.

- I was swimming in a meet with olympians such as: Cesar Cielo, Yahnik Agnel, Conor Dwyer, etc. It was really great to see, for myself, the pinnacle of intensity in swimming. This meet inspired me to train my hardest to one day become like one of them.
