My name is Dessaniel Jaquez, I am sixteen years old and have been swimming since the age of four. Swimming has always been an escape from the outside world. Somewhere I can focus all of my energy and not worry about anything else. When I enter the water it is like nothing else matters but what is in front of me. It has been like this since I first joined a swim team. I took a love for this sport because of this feeling. I feel like this is why I can excel and strive for better, for my self and as a team mate. Being on a team, is like being with a family. I would love to join a new family because I have lots of ambitions and will power. Along side my swimming career, my academics come hand in hand. I want a school with a great balance for both. Give me a chance and I will not let you down.
