Personal Statement
Since I was little I have dreamed of being able to swim in college and maybe even afterward. I believe that I would be a great addition to any team because of my practice and conditioning ethic, and the fact that I never give up. I recognize that I have room to improve and I believe my statistics prove that. I am just entering my 3rd truly competitive season and for that reason, have elected to go to college in the fall of 2016 at a local 2-year university so that I can remain with my club team and trainers to improve, while advancing my education by taking a full schedule of classes so that in 2017, I can transfer as a sophomore while retaining a full 4-year athletic eligibility with the NCAA. I believe this combination and approach will get me where I want to be and I hope you agree and will watch my progression as a leader both in the water and in the college classroom. I know that I can have great influence on people and that my intensity will easily help others perform at a higher level. Among many significant personal goals, I hope that through my academics, athletics and dedication that I will be able to influence just one child to take up competitive swimming and give it all they have towards their future. I hope I can become the next great addition to your team and that we can spend many hours working on making both your program and my skills even better! Thank you for taking the time - I look forward to hearing from you. Evan Stapp
