Charles Espinola '16 Recruiting Profile

I won the Oklahoma 5A State Championship in the 100 backstroke in 2015 and 2016 I also came in 3rd in the 100 butterfly in both years. I have been swimming for 9 years. I swam for 5 years in the Philippines where I originally came from. I swam at a very competitive swim team where we swam 6 days a week for 2-3 hours all year round.  While here in Duncan, Oklahoma we only swim during a high school season for 2 hours and 5 times a week. I do not get to swim all year round because my high school does not and there is not a USA club swim team in my area. I used to travel an hour and a half to swim for the American Energy swim team, I swam with them for 2 months over the summer of 2014 but unfortunately their pool closed. I want to swim for a college where they can give me a quality to be the best swimmer I can be. I still believe that I have not reach my full potential to be the best swimmer I could be. I believe that if I have the right training and being able to swim all year would give me this potential and reach my goals. I aspire to be the best swimmer and teammate anyone could have. I fully respect my coaches and swimmer at all times I also try to give my hardest at practice and even at school.
