Personal Statement

First and foremost for me is to get a good education. Getting a college education is very important to me. From a swimming standpoint, I would like to get my All American cuts along with national cuts. Swimming has been and is a very important part of my life. I have been very fortunate to be swimming in both a swim club and a high school swim team. I want to carry this team spirit to the next level. I am currently the team captain on both the high school and the club team.  I really enjoy encouraging my teammates to do their best. There are times of the year where I am at swim practice three times a day. I believe this is proof of my dedication to the sport. Along with this, I have been successful in the classroom. I received credit for a college course taken during my junior year and have plans to take dual credit college courses during my senior year. I have also taken numerous advanced high school courses. I donate my time to causes such as volunteering at the highway 80 rescue mission in Longview, Texas.
