Aspirations
My college aspirations are about fitting in with the team creating lasting friendships and giving those who swim with me someone to pace with, which is definitely something I am missing my senior year. It is extremely frustrating to have to pass someone every two laps. So I will do my absolute best to keep up with the fastest guy to get that competitive factor that has disappeared from my daily routine back in it. Goals that I have for my first year of swimming at a collegiate level are making it to nationals and who knows maybe even breaking some team records. Secondly I cant wait to practice with a different coach with new twists on workouts and hopefully has no problem with their swimmers being in the weight room, and reaching times that I didn't know I had the capability to reach.
What makes me different from other recruits? In character, I am a hard worker in everything that I do, both in school and out. I put my mind to everything whether it be schoolwork, lifting, or dedicating myself to each sport that I'm in. I'm am a humble person although this prompt would suggest otherwise. I really enjoy being around other people and I have yet to meet a person that I haven't gotten along with .
In athletics I have excelled in every sport that I have played except for baseball, in which I have had trouble hitting the ball. But in lacrosse I have been a starter for 4 years, granted we are a younger team but I became a starter because I was very coachable and I learned very quickly. Which is a quality that I hope most coaches are looking for in student athletes.
In academics I have excelled in the classroom especially in mathematics and science although I have had trouble with writing. Yet, I have still managed to keep a 3.472 GPA. I enjoy being in the classroom, around friends, and learning. Although sometimes it's a struggle in class but staying after and studying with friends and teachers is a huge help. Which, is definitely something I hope to have in college.
I can't wait to start my college athletic and academic career in a college with a college that is a perfect fit for me. I'm looking for a smaller size college with an active community and an active student body.
