Hello, as you know my name is Austin. I have some goals and dreams that I know I am able to accomplish.
One of my main goals is to improve my overall grades and become better in the classroom.
Another goal of mine is to get a good score on the ACT.
Also I plan to swim at either a division II or division I level.
Lastly, I hope to show my great personality so you know I am much more than just a student or an athlete.
What makes me a great candidate for any swim team is I have great team spirit. I love getting pumped up before swim meets and helping people learn more about how they swim. Also, I learn to listen to other swimmers so I can learn from them as well. As my coach says, "You are able to learn anything from anyone."
I like to think of myself as being the nice guy who has the confidence to always say, "I am going to win." Some people think I may be boastful, but I digress. In swimming, if you get on that block and say you're going to lose, well, you will probably lose because you may not have that will or want to win. You have to be confident and think positive.
Academics I feel as if I struggle sometimes with, but I always try my best to further myself. I always give it a try and work as hard as possible to make things right, even when I may come to a bump in the road.
Overall, I am a nice, smart, and hard working swimmer to be a part of your team.
