Personal Statement
Playing tennis is a hobby that I picked up going into sophomore year, without any prior tennis experience. Not having the opportunity to receive lessons, I have put in countless hours of individual practice. I have worked my way up to the second rank on my 7A high school tennis team. Throughout high school, I have learned that hard work is essential in the classroom, on the courts, as well as in life. With the right guidance, I believe I will become a better player as well as a better individual. I understand that there will be difficult trials to come, but I will not hesitate to give everything I have. As I look back I see great improvement, but I will not dwell in the past. I know there is still much to improve on, and I will succeed.
