Personal Statement
Driven by a hunger for success and fueled by unwavering commitment, I believe I will be a valuable asset to any college tennis team. I have learned that the greatest accomplishments are achieved from overcoming the greatest adversity, so I get excited to face challenges as I believe that overcoming them is what will make me a champion. One thing I am certain I can offer is a great attitude. I show respect, discipline, a great work ethic, and always have an open mind. I do not accept “good enough”. I am always looking for ways to improve myself as a tennis player, as a person, as a student or as a Christian. Tennis is what drives me, but my character is what defines me.
I am looking for a school, preferably with a good academic program, but more importantly, a great tennis program where I can take my game to the next level and where I can experience a professional level training environment.
Over the past few years, I have been taking extra school courses in order to get ahead and make time to focus almost purely on tennis. Right now I am training full time at the Bill Adams Tennis Academy in Miami, FL, and receive unparalleled coaching and competition. I will continue training there for the foreseeable future. I have had to do all of my schoolwork away from school, and have still maintained a 4.0 GPA in all my courses. Now that I am well ahead in my schooling I have my entire senior year to complete just two remaining courses, and am able to dedicate my extra time to tennis training and traveling for competition.
