I am currently a freshman at Sussex Academy in Georgetown, Delaware, a school known for it's strong academic focus and advanced curriculum. I am a good student, maintaining an A/B average, and am taking multiple Honors level courses. As an athlete I am very coachable, friendly, and dedicated, and I enjoy being a positive member of my team. I'm hoping to find a college or university that is a good fit for me as a whole person. I am open to any size school in any state, and am thinking that I might want to major in Education.
My first high school tennis season was actually as an 8th grader, as I am at a Charter School and middle schoolers can play up. I earned the 1st Singles spot on the Varsity team, was elected Captain, and faced Junior and Senior opponents in all of my matches...it was definitely a challenge. But, I persevered, never gave up, and was able to win my final match against a Senior...I'm pretty proud of that accomplishment! I was awarded the MVP Award for that season, and more importantly learned so much about myself as an athlete and a person. I've been practicing, soaking up as much coaching as possible, participating in tournaments as often as I can, and am looking forward to growing as a player.
In addition to Tennis I am active in competitive Shooting Sports - Shotgun & Archery. I am a member of the Leo Club at school and enjoy volunteering in my local community.
