Personal Statement
Tennis for me is something very special and I consider it a gateway to many opportunities I couldn't have ever imagined of having. With not much of a family background in tennis, I began the sport at the age of 7 by one day spontaneously trying it and quickly falling in love with it. Tennis has taught me how to dedicate myself to something I love and has definitely increased my maturity since the day I began playing. I have learned that hard work does pay off and that nothing can be won easily. Starting off in the Boys 10 and under division reaching only about 100 in the state, I have made huge progress and I am now top 15 in the state in the Boys 16 and under division.
I have great aspirations for the rest of my high school and college career both academically and athletically. I am currently enrolled in the IB (International Baccalaureate) program in Coral Gables Senior High School. As for some achievements in tennis, I have reached the finals of regional, state and national tournaments. I also won the High School individual doubles tournament in Florida this year as a sophomore. I strongly believe that I will be an amazing addition to your team because I consider myself a very dedicated and hard worker who doesn't take any chance for granted. Playing college tennis has been the major long term goal and I am fully invested to achieve this goal.
