I started hitting tennis balls at the age of 4. Then began teaching tennis at the age of 9, at our neighborhood tennis court. A couple of my students went on to play USTA. My summer job is teaching tennis at an outdoor clay court resort/club in Hyannisport. This position led me to opportunities, for babysitting children, that belong to the club. I enjoy teaching children and helping them learn new skills. I teach groups of children, adults and private lessons.
During one of my days at work last summer, one of my colleagues was eating lunch on another court, and began choking. I quickly ran over to her and performed the Heimlich Manuever. She was very grateful that I was there to save her. I have since become certified in CPR and first aid.
I have varied interests in a potential career. Math is one of my favorite subjects, therefore I am interested in Finance. I am also interested in law, homeland security, intelligence, political science and possibly civil or robotic engineering.
