Ben van der Sman '17 Recruiting Profile

Throughout my life I have continously reflected about my future and all that it holds for me. As a student athlete, my college career is very important to me and it is essential that I actively work toward achieveing my goals. Through hard work and determination I believe I have put myself in a position of athletic and academic success. The high expectations I have created for myself allow me to go above and beyond in school and in sports. I think I would be benedicial for a college team because I demostrate positivity on and off court, focus from the start of practice to the end, train with a goal in mind, and will put in all the work necessary in order to achieve individual and team success. Through events and experiences, I have developed a very strong character. I am highly motivated, have a creative mind, can adpat to any situation, a team player, detail oriented, and a leader. Athletically, I have shown that I am very commited toward reaching my collegiate goals through extensive training both on and off court. Now practicing five days a week as well as competing in high level tournaments around Minnesota. I hope to play high level college tennis in order to continue my tennis career as far as possible while maintaining a very competitive atmosphere.
