Personal Statement
I hope to play college tennis at a good college that is best fit for me. I hope to be at a college where I can meet other hard working students like myself both on and off the court. I love everything about tennis; practicing, playing with friends, traveling to tournaments, competing, and ultimately winning and being the best I can be. I practice hard to be the best I can be, because I know that I am responsible for my success or failure. A player is only as good as the time he puts practicing his weaknesses, maintaining his strengths, and never giving up in the midst of it. Although these key aspects help shape a player and convey his skill; passion, drive, and inspiration are traits that can't be taught nor practiced. A player has to have passion in order to really master the game. There are many times during my junior tennis career when I know that the player across the net from me is more talented than me, but that doesn't discourage me at all. I fight as hard as I can, because I know that I deserve to win just as bad as they do and will not let myself settle for a less. I hope to go to an academically good school because academics are just as important as tennis for me. I know I'm not the best tennis player there is nor close to it, but what I do know is that I have the most passion and drive, the two most important traits in an athlete that are almost always overlooked. Tom Brady is my role model, because he is the perfect example of a kid with big dreams, talent, and most importantly Passion that was overlooked, but proved to everyone that they missed out on a great player. I don't want you to pass me up either.
