My name is Thomas Kennedy and I am from Omaha, Nebraska. I will be graduating in the spring of 2017 from Creighton Preparatory High School. I am very determined, goal oriented and competitive. I have a strong work ethic and enjoy the camaraderie of a team.
I have been playing USTA tennis since I was very young have competed in local, regional and national tournaments. I spent much of my youth traveling to different towns to compete in USTA tournaments. My ranking has primarily been in the top 15-20 in the Valley. I recently aged up to boys 18s and have a current regional ranking of 66.
Creighton Prep has dominated Nebraska tennis and as freshman I played #1 singles and finished third at state. As a sophomore and junior, I played #1 doubles and was state champion.
I take pride in the fact that I have a strong mental game and the ability to stay calm with a positive attitude during tough matches. I’m eager to work hard and learn and take my game to the next level in college. I’m willing to play doubles or singles.
Academically, I take a majority of honors and AP courses and have a 3.97/4.00 GPA. I have a good ability to manage a busy tennis schedule with a challenging class load. I would like to study engineering in college and feel my high school years have prepared me well for being a student athlete.
I hope you'll consider me for a spot on your college tennis team. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Thomas Kennedy
