Robert Giulian '18 Recruiting Profile

    I love sports. Ever since a young age, I have always had some type of ball in my hands or on my feet. Sports has impacted my life in such a positive way. The reason I love playing sports is because I like the challenge of setting a goal and going out and accomplishing it.

    I pride myself on being a team guy. I feel that in order to be successful both as a student and as an athlete, you need to respect others, treat them like you want to be treated and have their back. I feel that if I can do this every single day, my day has been successful. Sports, even in individual sports such as tennis, always has a team aspect. The team always comes before me. 

    I set personal and team goals at the start of each season. I love going out to practice each day and working hard to succeed those goals. I am the type of person who will go 110% in practice and work on things until they are perfect. I believe that with my hard work and dedication I can do anything I want, both in the classroom and on the tennis court. 

    I have key values that I know can help my team and myself do great things. I pride myself on being flexible and working well with others. I pride myself on accepting and finishing obstacles and challenges that arise. I pride myself on being truly committed to the team and to the sport of tennis. With my mindset of working hard every single day in anything I do know that I can be successful. 

    I understand that I may not be the next pro tennis player, but I do know what I am trying to accomplish. I am trying to work hard to get my degree in an area of study which I love while playing the sport I love. If I stay humble, work hard and follow the path I am on, I believe that in the next couple of years I can look back and check off my goal of being a hard-working, dedicated and influential student-athlete at the collegiate level.
