Ross Shurtleff '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Ross Shurtleff and I'm interested in getting a scholarship. I've been playing tennis for 4 years now and still have another year after this one. I play second singles currently and am ranked 2nd among all the others players in our division. Although our team has had multiple coach changes throughout the past few years I was voted captain again this year. My performance from last year has increased dramatically without the foot injury I was plagued with last year and without the inconvenient, terrible tragedy that occurred when my mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I would also like to mention that I'm planning on taking my ACT's in June, which I feel very confident because I've been studying with our valedictorian. My season ends in Mid-May and I will most likely be playing doubles with our first singles player because our coach would like to see us play together as well as the fact that we have the best likelihood to go to states over any other team.
