I began playing tennis when I was five years old, and started playing tournaments when I was ten years old. My game is based around my big serve, my forehand, and moving forward. I enjoy playing both singles and doubles, and love high school tennis because of the team environment. My goal for college tennis is to receive a Division 1 tennis scholarship and to play Division 1 tennis at a school with academics that interest me. My goal off the court is to start my own successful company and achieve my goal of becoming an entrepreneur.
I believe there are four characteristics of mine that will stand out to college coaches. First, my sportsmanship. I value sportsmanship and character a lot. I leave everything on the court and will do anything to win, but I strive to make good line calls and to have good sportsmanship. Secondly, my work inside the classroom. I work hard and strive to get good grades. I have achieved high standards on the court and off the court as well. Thirdly, I love the team environment and put the team first always. I love high school tennis because of the team environment. You will always see me encouraging and cheering on my teammates, as well as coaching them and having a positive attitude whether I was able to win my match or not, because I know my team looks up to me. And lastly, my work ethic. Whether it is in the classroom, on the tennis court, or doing volunteer activities for my church, I strive to work hard and do my very best 100% of the time.
