Personal Statement
Ever since sixth grade, I have had big dreams: to become an anesthesiologist. Nonetheless I would love the opportunity to pursue my interest in medicine while continuing my passion for tennis. Ever since the sixth grade, I have been obsessed with playing tennis in order to improve my skills. I believe that I could bring an underdog factor to a college team, no matter where that college may be located. I have always loved the fact of being considered an underdog because it always motivates me to show everyone what I have the potential to accomplish. In college, I would like to achieve getting a degree while playing tennis. I believe that I am a "different" tennis player because I am able to easily enter my opponents mind and dictate their emotions throughout a match. I have been able to frustrate many people much better than me, and guess what, I ended up beating that person just by controlling their emotions. Also, I am quick and able to retrieve almost any ball on any spot on the court. Adding to that, my grades are not a problem at all. I have a 4.5 weighted GPA and I am most likely going to be the valedictorian of my senior class, which is the class of 2017. Basically, I am trying to convey the message that I am not just another recruit who wants to fool around in college. I would come to college with a "get the job done right" attitude, and I firmly believe that I would not disappoint any potential college coach who might be reading this right now.
