Rhett Williamson '17 Recruiting Profile

Running has always been there for me. It all started in the seventh grade when I got my first taste of distance running.  Something clicked in my head, and ever since I have been hooked. To me running is a simple yet exhilarating thrill. I believe I would be a candidate for any team because of my strong work ethic. I worked extremely hard to get to the top of my sport in my state, and even harder to get back after an injury cost me most of my junior cross country season. My work ethic is not only apparent in athletics, but in the classroom as well. I make sure to focus equal time to both the student and athlete sides of being a student athlete. I currently have a 3.7 GPA and an ACT score of 27, with plans on improving upon both. I also believe that my winning attitude and fun loving personality would be an added plus to any team. In addition to sports and academics my family and son in particular are the largest parts of my life. I consider my teammates family as well and would do anything for anyone of them.
