Personal Statement
Determination. Hard work. I use these elements to achieve success in each sport I play. At 5’9” 165 lbs, I am a versatile, multi-sport student athlete from Surprise, Arizona. I have been a starter on the Valley Vista High School Football Team since my sophomore year. In fact, my determination and hard work led me to win the First Team All Region 5A Award for playing football. However, this individual accomplishment would not have been possible without the support of my teammates, whom I deeply appreciate. I pride myself on leading by example, which has garnered me similar success with my track and basketball teams.
I take an equally aggressive approach to my academics, earning a current GPA of 3.8. Given my commitment to success as a true student athlete, I am looking for an institution that has a stellar academic reputation while remaining competitive in athletics. Ideally, I would like to attend a University with an excellent science department, along with nationally accredited physical therapy, exercise science, physiology, and physical education programs.
Overall, the best fit would be an institution where my speed, agility and intellect allow me to make an immediate impact in the classroom and on the football field. My diverse background has afforded me the opportunity to learn, adapt and thrive in various cultural and geographic settings. Therefore, I am open to considering different types of schools and geographic locations.
