Hello, my name is Grant Bayr and I just completed my junior year at Dana Hills High School in Dana Point, CA. I came to the sport of track in my sophomore year of high school, and had actually never hurdled before February of 2013. I immediately loved the sport and committed myself to training all off-season to make up for lost time. By the end of my first season I ran a 16.17 in the 110HH and 44.28 in the 300H. I experienced big improvements in my times in my junior year. I ran a 14.83 in the 110HH and a 41.85 in the 300H. I am continuing to train all summer and am headed to compete in the USATF Junior Olympic Nationals in July.
Academically, I currently have a 3.6 GPA and was enrolled in both AP US History and AP Language and Composition. I also completed my third year of Spanish at the local community college in December of 2013. I will be taking AP Government and AP Environmental Science in my senior year.
I am a hardworking, dedicated student both on and off the track. I am looking forward to what my future in track has to offer.
