Personal Statement
My name is Braeden Kraft and I’m a sophomore at Del Campo High School in Sacramento, California. I began taking an interest in running when I was 9 years old and was playing soccer. Although my soccer skills were at or slightly above average, I became a great defender because of my speed. Track officially began for me in 6th grade and has since become my passion.
Coaches will attest to the fact that I am an easy athlete to coach. In addition to striving to compete at my upmost ability at all times, I have the knack to learn motor skills quickly and have a great competitive edge which helps me improve more and more in any sport in which I am involved. Encouraging my teammates is something I always strive to do and do not permit others to be put down.
After high school, I plan to compete in college both in athletics and academics. I would like to focus my studies in pre-med or biology. These areas of study would support my goal of working as a physician, sports therapist, physical therapist, or any field which involves medicine and helping others.
