Connor Luck '19 Recruiting Profile

The highlights of my athletic career so far is my success at the National Junior Olympic Championships for Track and Field. I have taken away 5 medals from these competitions in the past 5 years, all of which are top 5 in the country. I specialize in the jumps, such as High Jump and Long Jump, but my main strength is the multi events. What makes me stand out is my ability to do well in many events instead of specializing and succeeding in only one. What also makes me unique is my ability to overcome the mental aspect of Track and Field and come back from an event in which I did not do as well as I desired to. I have learned to do this from my years of experience with the multi events, and is now helping me succeed in the Decathlon.

I wish to attend a college that offers not only a great Track and Field program, but also a school with a great pre-medical program. This will help me achieve my ultimate goal of becoming a surgeon one day. I believe that my perseverance and experience with Track and Field has not only help me become the athlete I am, but has been a big part of making me the student I am today and will continue to help me in my goals for the future.
