If I were to describe myself in one sentence, it would be as follows:
“A Diamond in the Rough”; waiting for the Master Jeweler to create a masterpiece with.
I have only been running for a little more than two years, however, running has become an integral part of my life. In my senior year, running against some of the fastest runners in my league, that have been running and training for years, I have come to realize that I am indeed a born runner. My time is very close to the fastest runners in City.
I am self-driven, disciplined and resilient. I train very hard year-round. As the captain of the cross-country team at Palisades Charter High School, I seek to motivate and lead by example. I am very coachable, totally committed to doing my utmost to be the very best I can be both academically and as a runner.
My goal is to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the track. I am hoping to find a match in a college and a coach/mentor; the Master Jeweler that notices the “Diamond in the Rough” and is willing and ready to create a masterpiece.
I am open to discuss all options that will help me achieve my vision to become an inspiration, a great role model to all my peers and contribute to society at large and make my parents proud.
